initial services are usually free or available
for a minimum charge.

areas critical to future growth - subsidised
by the DTI.An initial business review is
usually free but there is usually a fee
for further services.

training standard and the majority of them
have run their own businesses. Charges for
Business Link services vary - you should
agree them at the beginning.
The main grants available through Business
Link are Regional Enterprise Grants and
Regional Selective Assistance Grants.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)
offers assistance to Manufacturing and some
Services to Industries who are located in
the assisted areas. Most of
the North East is in an assisted area. In
all cases a grant offer letter must be received
before any commitment is made to any expenditure.
And all spending must be made before the
grant is paid, so you need to be able to
fund all the capital spend before you receive
the grant.
